Ideas for Fancy Dress Outfits
Ladies, ever had a costume party you wanted to go to, but couldn’t find that perfect outfit? How about a club night or a Halloween costume party? Or even a night at home, to wow your partner? Well, worry no more, because here are a few fancy dress ideas for every occasion.
For that holiday costume party, put on a sexy, fur edged Eskimo costume. Another favorite is a pretty white (or black) Russian costume. Santa’s Elves or Mrs. Claus herself are always a big hit too; it all depends on whether you prefer stripes or the standard red and white. You can have a costume that accents everything but still keep you warm.
Want to go out to a club? Try a tight knit dress in red or black with spaghetti straps. Or perhaps wear a black patent leather number for a dominatrix look. You could also try a “Hollywood Starlet” look; a white halter dress, a la Marilyn Monroe, would look amazing paired with a set of spike heels. Dust that cleavage with some glittery powder, and dance all night!
For Halloween, go all out. A sexy goddess costume is always in fashion. Or maybe you’d like to be a ruler; Cleopatra costumes are beautiful and elegant. If the idea of royalty or deity isn’t your style, why not do a simple Greek citizen? A pirate costume is a great way to be tough yet appealing at the same time. Fairies are always cute yet appealing; dressing up as Tinkerbell would be a perfect Halloween costume. Perhaps a schoolgirl costume is more to your taste. There are many versions, from the traditional Catholic to the young witch studying at her local Wizardry Academy. Couple costumes often work well together; maybe you’d like to play an angel to your partner’s devil, or have them do black tie with your fancy dress costume. Anything goes!

Nurse’s costumes always win points; feel your partner’s pulse race as you check for vital signs. Want to save a horse? Dress up as a cowgirl. If you feel like being an animal ( literally and figuratively), put on a sexy cheetah costume and purr in your partner’s ear. Or dress up like a bumblebee; time to go find the honey! last but not least, there’s always the military costumes. When you put any of these on, you’ll be able to see what stands at attention.

You may have to do a little research to find the one that’s right for you, but with so many choices, it will be easy. Once you find “the one” you’ll be ready to impress every person who sees you. First lady outfit If you like the Jackie Onassis’ look then you will love this outfit. It’s a cool pink dress with short sleeves and a belted waist.  White cotton gloves add a touch of class and you can finish it off with a black wig and false eyelashes.  If you don’t want to wear false eyelashes then go to a reputable beauty salon and get eyelash extensions. These are applied by a trained therapist one eyelash at a time over your natural lashes. They will certainly look the part!  Jackie Onassis was formerly Jackie Kennedy and became America’s first lady in January 1961.  She was the personification of elegance and chic and her style was emulated all over the world. This is a power outfit to wear and should make you feel invincible. 

Womens 60’s movie star outfitThis costume is similar to the first lady outfit but you get to wear the beehive wig and tiara!  If you feel good in a little black dress, then the Audrey Hepburn style black shift dress is for you.  A silver and black belt will nip in the waist to show off your curves and add the white cotton gloves for a dash of elegance.   The black beehive wig shows off the tiara that is so typical of the era. 

Sexy Trophy WifeIn the field of womens fancy dress then this has to be one of the most fun to wear.   A great costume of a long gold metallic dress with a black base that reads ‘trophy wife’.  Team this up with gold gloves and a long blonde wig and the only other accessory you will need is a millionaire husband!

Two famous pirate villains are Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Hook, both are excellent choices for a fancy dress costume.

Pirate Fancy Dress- Captain Jack SparrowTreasure, pirates, the governor’s daughter, swordfights, and clever dialogue, Pirates of the Caribbean was a huge box office success and deservedly so.  The main character Captain Jack Sparrow was charming, daring and endearing.  Johnny Depp stole the show with Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightly and the rest of the crew snapping at his heels. 

If you want an authentic pirate fancy dress look no further than a Captain Jack Sparrow costume.  You get a blue waistcoat with sash and buckle, a mock cotton shirt with big blouson sleeves, a pair of grey knitted trousers with brown boot covers already attached.  Included is a pirate hat with bandana and sword, so all you need to buy is a wig and beard.
