Darth Vader and Princess Leia, Yoda or a Jedi knight, are all fabulous choices for a fancy dress costume. The first film of the Star Wars trilogy came to the cinema in 1977. It was a whole new world filled with Wookiees, Princesses and despicable villains. The Star Wars cast of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guiness, and James Earl Jones showed us a whole new fantasy world. The fan base and the films have spanned three decades and growing from strength to strength. Every character from the film has the potential for a fabulous fancy dress costume. Choose your character and search online for the costume and accessories.
Princess Leia was the heroine of the film. She was both demure and sexy. Choose from the classic fancy dress costume or a sexy alternative version.

If you have a team of people who are all going to be attending the same fancy dress party get them all together and arrange to dress up as a group in outfits that follow a theme. It doesn’t matter what sizes or shapes your group is made up of. There are fancy dress costumes to fit every size and suit every pocket.
Elect one person to organise the fancy dress for the whole party or event. Email everyone you know and ask them if they want to belong to the group. Start them off by sending them your ideas for a group fancy dress theme and ask everyone to reply back with their ideas for costumes. Give them a time that they must get back to you by email or you’ll expel them from the group! If you’re not tough they’ll take forever because we all leave everything till the last minute! If you’re lucky and everyone has the same idea then obviously go with the most popular fancy dress theme. If people send lots of ideas narrow it down to a few possibles and get people to just vote on three or four. When you’ve got the chosen theme look online and choose your outfits and accessories. Contact your online retailer and see if you can get discount for a bulk purchase. Make sure you’ve chosen the accessories to go with the outfits so you can include them in the discount.Work out the costing and email everyone to let them know how much you need from them and get them to agree. Get the money upfront before you buy. People tend to remember to pay you before the event. If it’s come and gone you’ll find it harder to get people to cough up the dough!!
Check the delivery date and wait till your fancy dress has arrived before you get everyone to come and collect. You could even arrange a pre-party pickup night with a few drinks and nibbles to try on outfits and discuss transport.

We at Mr bens fancy dress were looking into the definitions of fancy dress, and disguise.

4.DISGUISES….
while not a food, were romantic fantasies played out between the courses. Frequently the host (Edward III and Richard II among others) played a role. The earliest records are from 1347 and show up in the clothing and props that were planned. Costumes were often outlandish but did not necessarily hide the participants’ identities. Disguises were most frequently done during Tudor and Stuart periods. The disguisers might sing and dance but never interacted with the dinner guests as was done with the interludes. So that everyone might be aware of the meaning of the strange costumes and activities, a “presenter” would make comments. Mumming may have been an offshoot of the early disguises.
